Cancellation & refunds

Plain-language terms for paid plans: how billing works, how to cancel, and when you can get your money back.

Effective date: 5 October 2026

1. How billing works

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions, billed in South African rand (ZAR) through our payment processor, Paystack. You are charged when you subscribe and then automatically on the same date each month until you cancel. The price and billing period are shown on the Pricing page and confirmed before you pay. We never store your full card details.

2. Cancel any time

You can cancel at any time in your dashboard under Settings → Your plan → Cancel subscription. Cancelling stops all future charges immediately. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for; after that your account returns to the Free plan. You don’t need to contact us or give a reason.

3. 7-day cooling-off period

In line with section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel a new subscription within 7 days of your first payment, without reason and without penalty, and receive a full refund of that payment. To use this right, cancel in Settings and contact us using the details on our Legal page within the 7 days. Refunds are made to the original payment method within 30 days.

4. After the cooling-off period

Outside the cooling-off period, payments for a billing period that has started are not refunded pro-rata, because you keep full access until the end of that period. This does not limit any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act — for example, if a paid feature was not delivered as described, contact us and we will put it right or refund you.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paystack may retry it. While it remains unpaid your account loses paid features; they return as soon as a payment succeeds. You are never charged for a period you didn’t have access to.

6. Predictions are not a paid guarantee

A subscription pays for access to analysis and model predictions — not for outcomes. Predictions can be wrong, and a prediction that doesn’t come true is not grounds for a refund. See Responsible play.
